The Volt Safety Yellow KD Padlock features a 38mm chrome-plated steel shank and durable nylon body for securing lockout safety devices across electrical, maintenance and industrial applications. As a Keyed Different (KD) padlock, each lock has its own specific key, helping provide individual lockout control for workers and maintenance personnel.

The yellow colour provides clear visual identification in busy work environments, while the padlock’s compact 83mm x 38mm x 21mm body is suitable for a range of lockout applications. A label on the rear of the padlock provides space for writing identification information.

Durable Construction for Lockout Applications

The chrome-plated steel shank is designed for durability, while the nylon padlock body provides a practical construction for regular workplace use. The 38mm shank measures 6mm in diameter and is covered with chrome plating for added longevity.

The key-retaining design prevents the key from being removed while the shackle is open, helping maintain control of the lock during lockout procedures. The padlock is rated for temperatures from -20°C to 80°C.

Keyed Different Configuration and Compliance

This model is supplied in a Keyed Different (KD) configuration, meaning each padlock has its own specific key. This can be useful where individual workers require separate lockout padlocks.

The Volt Safety padlock complies with AS 4836 and AS 4024.1603, making it suitable for lockout applications where compliant safety equipment is required. Other keying configurations, including Keyed Alike and Keyed Different with Master Key, are available across the range.
