Description

Reliable Aluminium-to-Copper Termination Performance

The CABAC BI-METAL STALK 300MM² Cable Lug (BS300/16) is designed for secure and efficient termination of large aluminium conductors to copper connections. Built for 300mm² stranded sector and circular stranded aluminium cable, this bi-metal stalk lug ensures strong electrical conductivity while reducing the risk of overheating at termination points.

Manufactured using high-purity aluminium (99.6%) and copper (99.9%), the components are friction welded to create a durable aluminium-to-copper transition. This design allows electricians to confidently connect aluminium cable runs to copper equipment terminals without compromising performance.

The barrel is pre-coated with jointing compound, helping prevent oxidation and ensuring consistent conductivity during installation—saving time on site and improving long-term reliability.

Built for Compliance and Long-Term Electrical Reliability

CABAC bi-metal stalk lugs are produced to meet recognised international and Australian electrical standards, providing confidence for contractors working across residential, commercial, and industrial installations.

Manufactured to Australian dimensions, the lug is compatible with standard Australian crimping tooling, allowing fast, accurate installation without specialised equipment. The fully annealed metal construction improves ductility and strength, helping maintain mechanical integrity during crimping and long-term operation.

Designed for demanding electrical environments, the lug supports operating temperatures from 40°C to +125°C, making it suitable for switchboards, power distribution systems, and industrial installations where reliability is critical.

Compliance with multiple international standards—including AS/NZS 4325 Part 1, IEC, DIN/VDE, JIS, and BS—ensures the product meets strict electrical and mechanical performance expectations on regulated job sites.

Trade-Ready Installation for Faster Project Completion

For electricians managing tight project timelines, the CABAC BS300/16 bi-metal stalk lug delivers practical installation advantages. Each lug is individually packed to keep components clean and ready for immediate use on site, reducing prep time and contamination risks.

The lug’s compatibility with standard crimping equipment means installers can integrate it easily into existing workflows without additional tooling or training. With a wide size range available and custom machining possible for specialised applications, contractors can confidently source the correct termination solution for large-scale cable installations.

For switchboard builds, distribution upgrades, and industrial power connections, this lug provides the dependable performance trades expect while helping keep projects moving without delays.
