The CABAC BL35-10 Bi-Metal Lug is designed to deliver a secure and electrically efficient connection when terminating 35mm² stranded aluminium conductors. Manufactured using 99.6% pure aluminium and a 99.9% pure copper palm, the lug provides excellent conductivity while maintaining the mechanical strength required for demanding electrical installations.
A friction-welded joint bonds the aluminium barrel to the copper palm, creating a strong and electrically sound connection that minimises resistance and ensures long-term reliability. The barrel is chemically treated and pre-filled with jointing compound to help break oxide layers on aluminium conductors and reduce contact resistance during installation.
For best results, crimp from the palm end first to push the compound into the conductor strands and achieve a consistent, high-quality termination.
