The CABAC BL120-12 Bi-Metal Lug is engineered for dependable termination of 120 mm² stranded sector and circular stranded aluminium conductors. Manufactured using 99.6% aluminium and 99.9% copper, the aluminium barrel and copper palm are friction welded to create a strong, electrically sound connection that maintains conductivity under demanding conditions.
The barrel is chemically treated and pre-filled with jointing compound, helping break oxide layers on aluminium conductors while reducing contact resistance. When crimped correctly from the palm end first, the compound is driven into the conductor strands to improve electrical contact and long-term performance.
For electricians working on switchboards, mains connections, and heavy-duty installations, this bi-metal lug delivers the solid conductivity and dependable termination required on site.
