Description

Electrical Insulation & Protection

CABAC XLP Thin Wall Heatshrink 12.7mm Clear is engineered for reliable electrical insulation and mechanical protection in demanding trade environments. Manufactured from chemically cross-linked polyolefin, it provides a tight, uniform shrink for securing and insulating wires, splices, and terminations. Its thin-wall design allows flexibility while maintaining durability for professional electrical installations.

Performance & Technical Compliance

This heatshrink operates across a wide temperature range of -75°C to +135°C, making it suitable for both indoor and controlled industrial applications. It meets MIL-I-23053/5 Class 3 standards and delivers excellent dielectric strength, abrasion resistance, and tensile performance. Shrink activation begins above 100°C, ensuring consistent application using standard heat guns or tunnels. Note: clear variant is non-flame retardant and not UV stabilised.

Trade Applications & Usage

Ideal for electricians, contractors, and maintenance teams, this heatshrink is widely used for insulation, colour coding, and mechanical protection in electrical and electronic systems. It is commonly applied in control panels, wiring harnesses, and general cable management tasks. Supplied on a 50m reel, it supports bulk trade use with optional pre-cut services for project efficiency.
