Heavy-Duty C Connector for Copper Conductors

The Cabac CACD120 C Connector is a heavy-duty wide-jaw connector designed for joining and tapping copper conductors in earthing and bonding applications. Suitable for 95–120mm conductors, it provides a practical connection solution for larger earthing systems, including earth grids and distribution earth networks.

Manufactured from high-purity copper, the CACD120 combines mechanical strength with high electrical conductivity. Its copper construction helps provide a durable, corrosion-resistant connection suitable for demanding installation environments. The connector is also suitable for direct burial applications, making it useful where earthing connections need to be installed below ground.

Designed for Earthing and Earth Grid Applications

The wide-jaw configuration allows the CACD120 to accommodate larger copper conductors for joining and tapping applications. It is particularly suited to earthing networks and larger earth grid installations where dependable conductor connections are required.

The connector has been tested to IEEE 837, Clause 8, supporting its use in permanent grounding and bonding applications. Its construction is also suitable for environments where the completed joint may be exposed to moisture and buried conditions.

The CACD120 is manufactured from copper with a stated purity of up to 99.95%, providing high conductivity for electrical connection applications. It has a total conductivity rating of 99.7% IACS and total resistivity of 1.738 micro-ohm cm.

With a tensile strength of 200 MPa and a ductility rating of 40%, the connector is designed to withstand the mechanical demands associated with electrical earthing installations. Its stated operating temperature range of -55°C to 155°C provides suitability across a broad range of operating conditions.
