Description
High-Purity Copper Construction
The CACC120 is manufactured from 99.9% pure copper, providing excellent conductivity for conductor connections. Its copper construction delivers a robust connection while supporting effective electrical continuity across joined or tapped conductors.
With a reported total conductivity of 99.7% IACS and total resistivity of 1.738 micro-ohm cm, the connector is suited to demanding electrical applications. The connector also has a tensile strength of 200 MPa and a ductile rating of 40%, providing useful mechanical properties during installation and service.
Earthing, Bonding and Conductor Connections
This C Connector is suitable for joining and tapping copper conductors in a range of electrical installations. It can be used for bonding connections to earth grids and earthing conductors, as well as tapping applications involving earth and aerial conductors.
The CACC120 is suitable for trade applications where a purpose-designed connector is required for larger conductor sizes. Its operating temperature range of -55°C to 155°C allows it to accommodate a broad range of service conditions.
Tested for Electrical Performance
The CACC120 range has undergone heat-cycle testing in accordance with IEEE 837 Clause 8, supporting its use in grounding and bonding applications where connection performance over thermal cycling is important. The range is also listed as conformant to ESI 43/92 and has been accepted by Rail Services Australia and Telstra. Tooling is interchangeable between CABAC and Burndy systems, helping provide installation flexibility for contractors already using compatible tooling.
