Description

High-Performance Bi-Metal Stalk Lug for Aluminium Cable Connections

The CABAC Bi-Metal Stalk Lug 25mm² (BS25/6) is designed to provide a strong, low-resistance termination for stranded sector and circular stranded aluminium cables. Built using high-purity aluminium and copper, the lug combines excellent conductivity with reliable mechanical strength for demanding electrical installations.

The aluminium sleeve (99.6% pure) ensures efficient current flow from aluminium conductors, while the copper palm (99.95% pure) provides a secure, corrosion-resistant connection to copper busbars and terminals. With the joint formed through IEC-standard friction welding, the transition between metals remains stable under load and temperature changes.

Each lug barrel is pre-coated with jointing compound to improve conductivity and help reduce oxidation during installation, supporting consistent performance across switchboards, distribution systems, and industrial electrical setups.

Built for Compliance and Long-Term Electrical Reliability

Electrical contractors working on commercial, industrial, and infrastructure projects need terminations that meet recognised international standards. CABAC bi-metal stalk lugs are manufactured to Australian dimensions and can be crimped using standard Australian tooling, ensuring smooth integration with commonly used installation equipment.

The lug construction supports dependable electrical performance with high conductivity ratings and a fully annealed metal state for durability and ductility during crimping. Its robust design handles challenging site conditions, with an operating temperature range of −40°C to +125°C, making it suitable for a wide range of electrical environments.

These lugs comply with recognised global standards including AS/NZS4325 Part 1, IEC, DIN/VDE, JIS, and BS, helping contractors maintain compliance across residential, commercial, and industrial installations.

Trade-Ready Installation for Fast Project Turnaround

Designed with the needs of professional electricians in mind, the CABAC BS25/6 bi-metal lug helps streamline cable terminations on site. The pre-filled jointing compound reduces preparation time, while compatibility with standard Australian crimping tools allows fast installation without specialised equipment.

Each lug is individually packaged to keep the contact surfaces clean and protected until installation, helping maintain consistent quality across multiple jobs. For contractors managing tight timelines or multi-site projects, having reliable termination hardware readily available helps minimise downtime and avoid costly installation delays.

When sourcing electrical components for switchboards, distribution panels, or infrastructure upgrades, trade-grade products like CABAC lugs provide the reliability and compliance required for professional electrical work.
