Manufactured using 99.6% aluminium and 99.9% copper, the lug is friction welded to create a strong, electrically sound joint that prevents separation under load.
The aluminium barrel is chemically treated and pre-filled with jointing compound, helping break down oxide layers and reduce contact resistance during crimping. This improves current transfer and long-term connection performanceâparticularly important on switchboards, distribution equipment, and heavy-load installations.
For best results, the lug is crimped from the palm end first, forcing the compound into the conductor strands to maximise electrical contact.
