Its low-profile construction suits roof-mounted applications, while the downflow configuration supports efficient exhaust discharge. A standard bird mesh guard helps prevent birds and vermin from entering the ducting or building.
Durable Construction and Motor Reliability
The CE354D combines strong, lightweight construction with corrosion-resistant steel components and a UV-stabilized plastic cowl. Its backward-curved centrifugal impeller may be manufactured from plastic, steel, or aluminium depending on the selected unit. The external rotor, squirrel cage induction motor uses sealed-for-life ball bearings and includes standard internal thermal protection. Speed control can be achieved using electronic or auto-transformer controllers. The series offers single-phase and three-phase power options, while most three-phase units feature 2-speed star/delta motors.
Practical Installation for Trade Projects
Designed for commercial ducted exhaust systems, the Gamma series provides flexible installation options and can be mounted at angles up to 30°. Twin vertical discharge fan configurations are available for applications requiring 100% standby capacity, while shutters are standard on twin fan models and optional on single-fan models. Airflow testing is carried out to ISO5801:2007, with noise testing to BS848 Part 2, 1985.
