Compact Design for Commercial Exhaust

The Gamma Downflow Series combines a durable, lightweight construction with a compact footprint, helping provide a practical solution for commercial ventilation systems. The downflow configuration is designed for ducted exhaust applications, while the standard bird-mesh guard helps prevent birds and vermin from entering the ducting or building.

The roof units can also be mounted at an angle of up to 30°, providing additional flexibility when installation conditions require an alternative mounting position.

Reliable Motor and Fan Construction

Gamma Series motors use external rotor, squirrel cage induction technology with sealed-for-life ball bearings. Internal thermal protection is included as standard on all motors, helping support dependable operation in demanding ventilation applications.

Depending on the selected Gamma model, motors are available for 230V single-phase or 415V three-phase, 50Hz power supplies. Speed-controllable models can be paired with electronic or auto-transformer controllers, while most three-phase models feature a two-speed star/delta motor design.

The range uses backward-curved impellers constructed from plastic, steel, or aluminium, while steel components feature a corrosion-resistant finish. UV-stabilised plastic cowls further support durability in roof-mounted environments.

The Fantech Gamma Downflow Series is suited to electricians and ventilation professionals working on commercial exhaust systems where dependable equipment and straightforward installation are important. Optional twin vertical discharge fan configurations can provide 100% standby capacity, while shutters are standard on twin-fan units and available as an option on single-fan units.

Airflow performance is tested to ISO 5801:2007 standards, with noise testing conducted to BS 848: Part 2, 1985.
