Flammability is a significant factor to consider when choosing a suitable conduit system, with many industries now specifying the use of low fire hazard conduit to protect buildings and assets. CABFLX CFX Extreme Low Fire Hazard nylon conduit is an excellent choice for the insulation and protection of electrical cables; applications include industrial equipment, railway rolling stock, automotive applications and other areas.
Our CFX conduit is rated to the V0 flammability rating as defined in UL94, a standard that provides a method for rating the flammability of plastic materials. To comply with the V0 rating, burning must stop within 10 seconds on a vertical specimen, with drips of particles allowed as long as they are not inflamed.
CABFLX Extreme Low Fire Hazard conduit is manufactured to a medium wall thickness from corrugated PA6 nylon, a material that is UV resistant and anti-static for underground use. This conduit is RoHS compliant, resistant to chemicals such as oils, acid and solvents, and does not contain halogen, phosphor or cadmium.
