Special Note:
For buildings in bushfire-prone zones, AS3959:2009, clause 6.6.5(b) "Roof penetrations" specifies that openings in vented roof lights, ventilators, or vent pipes must have ember guards made from mesh or perforated sheets with apertures no larger than 2mm, using corrosion-resistant steel, bronze, or aluminium.
